The Indian Navy’s 10+2 B.Tech Entry Scheme 2026 notification for the July 2026 course has been officially published. This highly competitive cadet entry scheme provides a golden opportunity for young aspirants to join the Indian Navy as commissioned officers while they are pursuing a fully funded 4-year B.Tech degree. The online applications will be accepted from the date of 3/January/2026 till 19/January/2026 through the official recruitment portal. The entry is open to candidates who have passed 12th class with physics along with chemistry and mathematics i.e PCM and have also shown their appearance for JEE Main 2025. Selection is conducted through a multi-stage process which involves shortlisting aspirants based on JEE scores with an SSB interview and medical examination. Candidates that are selected under this scheme will undergo training at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala and will also be granted a permanent commission in the rank of sub-lieutenant once successfully completing their training.

Indian Navy Eligibility:
Aspirants must strictly fulfil all eligibility requirements that are mentioned in the official notification in order to be eligible for the Indian Navy Scheme:

The Age of the aspirant should be between 16½ to 19½ years as on 01/July/2026 and the Date of Birth must fall between 02/July/2006 and 01/January/2010 – both inclusive

Selection Process:
The selection process under the Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Entry Scheme 2026 is held in clearly 4 defined stages that are:
Stage 1: Shortlisting:- Aspirants are shortlisted solely on the basis of JEE Main 2025 scores. The higher scores increase the chances of receiving a call letter for SSB interview.
Stage 2: the SSB interview:- Shortlisted aspirants are called for the Services Selection Board i.e SSB Interview which checks officer-like qualities with leadership skills and psychological suitability.
Stage 3: Medical Examination:- Aspirants that are recommended by the SSB must undergo a detailed medical examination according to the Indian Navy standards.
Stage 4: The Merit List:- The final merit list is prepared on the basis of SSB performance and medical fitness depending on the vacancies available.
Training and Salary:
Aspirants that are s selected under the scheme will undergo a 4-year B.Tech training programme at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala.
During training the aspirant is provided with free lodging and boarding. Also medical facilities are available throughout training. In addition to all this a stipend is paid as per Indian Navy regulations
After successful completion of training the aspirants are commissioned as sub-lieutenants and are granted a permanent commission in the Indian Navy. Further Pay and allowances are applicable according to 7th Pay Commission norms

Step 4: Upload the documents like the JEE scorecard with the 12th marksheet and scanned photograph and signeture etc .
Step 5: Submit the application form and download it and also take a print of it.
